East Fortune Race Report – 13/14 May 2023

East Fortune Race Report – 13/14 May 2023

Lewis Paterson – Scottish Superbikes

Lewis qualified on pole position for the 4 scheduled races. He led the first 3 Scottish Superbike races from start to finish. In the final Superbike race of the weekend the team made the wrong tyre choice and Lewis was riding with a wet front and dry rear in conditions that were essentially dry. Lewis still brought the bike home in 2nd place though, to extend his lead at the top of the Scottish Superbike championship.

Owen Paterson – Scottish Lightweights

Owen qualified in 2nd place for the 4 scheduled races. Owen finished 3rd and 4th in the two Saturday races, before taking another 3rd place in the first Sunday race. Despite setting the fastest lap of the final race Owen unfortunately slipped off his Aprilia RS600 whilst vying for the lead and recorded a non-finish.

Zoe Paterson – Scottish Junior Twins

Zoe qualified in 7th place for the 4 scheduled races. Zoe finished 8th, 8th, 9th and 9th and improved her lap times in every race of the weekend, making progress and learning lots.

Next meeting is 27/28 May at Knockhill.
